Glean Freeze Give

Short Film

February 7, 2013

Capturing the independent Vermont spirit and celebrating community, Glean Freeze Give is a micro documentary sharing the story of a small group of Vermonters who glean left over vegetables from farms that would otherwise get tilled back into the soil so they can then flash freeze, process and distribute healthy local food to charities in need.

“You’ll never get rich by living in Vermont, but you’ll never go hungry either.”

If you like Vermont you’ll love this movie – a wholly Vermont production, from the musicians, to the filmmaker and animator, and all the farmers, gleaners, and volunteers that do so much good work. Film made possible by Green Mountain College and The Janes Trust.
